Introduce yourself! Who are you, and what's your role at the Loyaltek Group?

"I’m Najlae, I’m 29 years old, and I’m a Customer Support Officer at Giftify. I began in December two years ago. I handle the customer requests, feedback, and issues, and I try to find a solution as quickly as possible to keep them satisfied with our services."

How did you end up at Loyaltek/Giftify?

“I was looking for a job and I saw the listing on LinkedIn. I just replied to it, and Robert Masse, our Founder and CEO called me back 2 days after that. I had my interview, and in another 2 days after the interview I had signed my contract, and began working at Loyaltek."

What do you want to achieve in your career?

“I’ve had quite a few experiences: I worked in commerce before, I was also in customer care. I’ve worked at small and bigger companies. I learned that one of the things I enjoy the most is working in customer care. I know that this is my calling, that this is the thing I like to do the most: interacting with people and being there for them.

What I want to achieve is to always be learning new things about our services, and also about communicating with people. When you work in the Customer Support department, you always have to be polite, to express yourself in a certain manner, and remember to be patient. This also helps me to be more patient in my daily life. I like my job, and if I can go further in this department I will, with time. I also have a second job; I am an Image Consultant. My career for me is a bigger picture: it’s Giftify and my other job as an Image Consultant. As long as I remain happy with what I do, I think that’s an achievement."

If you could have dinner with 3 inspiring women, dead or alive: who would they be and why?

"Michelle Obama, Penelope Cruz, and Queen Rania of Jordan. Because the three of them have a lot of class and dignity. They have visions for their countries and other women. And they have a lot of elegance in the way they express themselves.

Tell us about a professional experience that made you who you are today.

"It was definitely my first job. I began at Total, a very big company. It was destiny because it was my first job and it was quite difficult to enter the company. I was lucky enough to have a very nice manager and it helped me a lot, I think. He gave me space and the freedom to become what I wanted to become in the team. I worked there for three years and it taught me patience. Because I’m someone who can keep focus even if there are lots of calls, emails or technical issues. My first job taught me a lot."

If you could share just one piece of career advice with women in our community, what would it be?

Don’t be scared of your dream. A lot of women have the tendency to always cancel themselves for others. I think that it is a feminine quality, but sometimes you have to think about yourself, too. Sometimes, be a little selfish when it comes to your dream.

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Najlae!
